BYO Pattern & Learn to Sew - Perfect for Beginners

2 Day Beginner Workshop 

Class is open to beginners who have never sewn a garment from a commercial pattern before. Ideally you will already know how to use your sewing machine. If not it's ok I'll run you through it - NO STRESS :)
You will learn about seams and finishes, pattern cutting, zippers and buttons. By the end you will have a finished garment.

Pattern Envelope Interpretation so that you may buy an appropriate pattern all all the 'notions' required.
How to measure yourself.

Day 1 (3hrs)   Saturday November 26, 2016 (9:00am - 12:00) (01:30 - 4:30)

Reading the pattern instructions
Fabric Layout / Anatomy
Measuring yourself
Cutting
Start sewing

Day 2 (3 hrs) Saturday December 3, 2016 (09:00am - 12:00) (01:30 - 4:30)

Finish sewing
Hemming
Zippers or buttons (depending on your pattern)

Class Requirements

Sewing machine and sewing kit
Pen and notebook/file
Pattern
Notions (zip, button etc)

Cost $50 if you stay the 3 hrs or $17 per hour ($100 2 days) 

Note there WILL be home work
You will get personalised tuition with a class size of maximum 4 students
Notes to keep

Minimum class size to run is 4 learners.

Class will be run at my residence so children are welcome - my 2 will be around.
Tea/Coffee/Water and cake on offer too
