Mummy and Me Sewing Classes

Spend some quality time with your child doing something creative... learn to sew.
During this class mum and child will make some fun projects together.

You and your sweetie (age 8-16) will learn basic sewing skills and make some creative projects to take home.

What to expect:

Four 2 hour sessions
Create tote bags, 9 patch pillow (mum does one side child the other), aprons and shorts
Learn how to read a pattern
If you have a sewing machine bring it to the classes but it is not necessary

You will learn: 

1. Regular Stich
2. Top stitch
3. Reverse stitch
4. zig zag stitch
5. setting up a machine
6. how to thread a bobbin
7. hems
8. elastic waistband

What Materials would I buy?

• If you prefer to use your own sewing machine bring it to class. 

• 1 1/2 metre of fabric (cotton, cotton blends, duck, quilting cottons, lawn, light-weight denim, linen)

• 2 metres of 1/2'' elastic (for the shorts) 
• 
  
• Notions - ribbon, buttons, lace, ric rac etc. The possibilities are endless!
